(Reuters) - The Fed has held benchmark U.S. overnight lending rates at
5.25 percent since June 2006, when it closed out a 17-meeting
string of quarter-percentage-point rate hikes.
More than a year later, the subsequent interest rate
"pause" is at eight meetings and counting.
