(Bloomberg) -- Brazil's main stock index was little
changed, as mining company Cia. Vale do Rio Doce fell and phone
company Tele Norte Leste Participacoes SA gained.
The Bovespa Index of the most-traded stocks on the Sao Paulo
exchange fell 42.32, or less than 0.1 percent, to 52,381.13 as of
9:40 a.m. New York time after trading at a record yesterday.
