The benchmark FTSE 100 Index rose 19.80, or 0.3 percent, to close at 6579.30 in London as 49 stocks rose, 50 fell and 3 were unchanged. The FTSE All-Share Index gained 10.29, or 0.3 percent, to 3420.60.
